A Love Letter to the Woman in the In-Between

You know her. Maybe you are her.

She’s standing at the edge of something— a new chapter, a long-awaited ending, a fresh breath after years of holding it in.

She’s the woman who’s just come through the fire of a divorce. The one who’s finally shedding the weight of who she was told to be. The mom-to-be, the empty nester, the woman whispering to herself: “There has to be more.”

And she’s right. There is.

This is for the woman in the in-between. The one who isn’t quite who she used to be, but hasn’t yet met the woman she’s becoming.

She’s raw. She’s real. She’s reimagining everything.

And somewhere inside her—maybe quietly, maybe with a roar— there’s a flicker of desire. To be seen. To be held. To be photographed not as who she should be, but as she is.

This is why I do what I do. Not for the posed or the polished. But for the honest moments. For the women who are still becoming.

In my Columbia studio, I’ve watched women walk in one way and leave changed—not because I changed them, but because they saw themselves clearly, sometimes for the first time in years. It’s not about creating someone new. It’s about reflecting the woman who’s already there—underneath the roles, the pressure, the noise.

Because the in-between? It’s not a limbo. It’s a beginning. And it deserves to be documented like the transformation it is.

So if you’re in that tender place— not quite there, no longer here— know this:

You don’t need to wait until you’ve arrived. You don’t need a reason, or a milestone, or permission.

Your story is already worth telling.

And when you’re ready, I’ll be here—with a camera, an open heart, and a space where you can finally just… exhale.

For the woman in the in-between, This is for you.
